Fo4Fan
Hi Don't know if it's the right place here. I installed FO4 on a other PC and don't want to install all the Mod's (around 120) new.I doubt there Is a way to put my installed FO4 mods from PC1 to PC2 but I just ask, is there such an easy way? DjinnKiller
In general it's not very difficult to transplant an exisiting installation from on PC to another. It depends on a couple of things though. Do you use a mod manager? I use NMM and have moved the whole installation to a new box, Win 10 PC to a new Win 10 PC. Have no knowledge of how MO2 or Vortex works Is Steam installed in same location/structure as the old machine? Fallout itself depends on three folders, on a Win 10 box it's: C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Fallout4 (contains some config files, plugins list) C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 (contains ini-files, save games, f4se logs and keymapping file) ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4 (contains the game) Copying the files from the old machine to the new, overwriting any existing files, and then you are good to go. (COPY not move, keep the files on the old box until you verify that everything works) With a mod manager things get a little bit more complicated, but not much (with NMM, don't know about the other two). Fo4Fan
At first, thanks. Yes, 1st and 2nd machine have same steam installation structureAbout the locations in AppData and My Games, I already knew it, but thanks  Just In general it's not very difficult to transplant an exisiting installation from on PC to another. It depends on a couple of things though.thats what I thinking about to do the "copy&pase" way. Many mods I have installed needs/based on other mods, i.e many weapon mods/replacements packs need other weapons mods and/or ammo mods.At their first installation, I run in dozens of errors before it runs clean :D But I will try ThanksGreets Edited August 19, 2019 by Fo4Fan
DjinnKiller
As long as you have the plugins.txt (in C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Fallout4), and all the mods in ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data you should be fine. NMM places all files physically in the Data-folder, don't know if Vortex or MO2 does some virtualization trickery, but I bet someone else here can answer that! Good luck! Fo4Fan
Thanks. Atm I copy all the mods to the other one, we'll see if it works. Doesn't make NMM a backup of the zipped ones somewhere on the HDD or does it copy the files directly out from the zipped? I don't remember. DjinnKiller
NMM saves all archives under <NMM-dir>\Fallout4\Mods afaik.
Fo4Fan
Thanks, I didn't remember. BTW: Transfer were successfull. First startup(s) the game won't start, after letting steam checking the files and re-copy the My Games and AppData files it runs. Again, thank you for your support, safed me many hours.
