Dark Jman
i have a great computer i run the settings on ultra high and still get around 50-60 frames a second on oblivion. i see all these mods on the site and notice that alot of them look very real, and i even go to youtube and watch some vids over the mods and they look pretty good. but when i get the mods they only look descent. Also can someone tell me how to get ui mods to work, i am having trouble with those mods, and all others to tell you the truth.
AnonymousThirdParty
Mainly people cheat and use photoshop or the screeneffects mod, search it up here on TesNexus - you'll see how much better your screenshots will look.
RGMage2
It could be you are running it at too low a resolution. If you are at 800x600, or some other low rez, bump it up to the maximum that your monitor can support. Also, it is not enough to max out the game's settings; you've got to go into your graphics card's control panel and make adjustments there as well. Anti-Aliasing, Temporal Anti-Aliasing, Filter Type, Anisotropic filtering, Mipmap Detail Level, Adaptive Anti-Aliasing. These should all be enabled and set to override the game's settings. Anti-Aliasing should be turned off in the game's menu and turned on in the card's control panel - overriding game settings. This will allow you to use AA with HDR. Or course it all depends on what type of graphics card you have. My advice here is really meant for an ATI card, I don't know much about NVidia.
Deleted269910User
Works the same for my NVidia GeForce 8600GT 512mb Passive Cooling edition, I believe the control panel is the same for all NVid cards, you'll need to access the 'advanced options' panel naturally and set the settings for each of your games/programs specifically so they'll overwrite the default ones if needed, or simply leave them as is. You can also turn on AA from the oblivion.ini in your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion and it works with HDR, if I don't remember totally wrong. I'll post back on that once I get home, unless someone here can confirm it(again) without me having to.
billypnats
yea screeneffects can make stuff look really good, and it works well with weather mods like enhanced weather or dungeon mods like ambient dungeons But it does have its downsides tho (very little) like when you go to places and places it suddenly changes shaders and stuff
KingofCarnage18
My PC runs decent on high settings with my 7300GT...nothing major and I still get around 45-60 FPS when Im not overpopulated. For some reason my FPS go to the pits in water though. If I adjust my settings right and turn off everything including my antivirus ect... I can run on Ultrahigh with 40-55 FPS which is a bit laggy but playable.
