AnkhAscendant
So I wanted to create a wandering merchant. I figured I know who wanders, Talsgar the Wanderer. I can just duplicate him, leave his AI intact (more or less), and then my dude will wander the highways of Skyrim just like the bard does. Except I looked at him and he doesn't have any AI packages. So why does he wander? I expected to see some "at such a time he has a percent chance of commuting to such a place", but the empty screen mystifies me. Should I just give my guy a home base and manually give him the type of travel packages I was expecting to see? Also, if anyone knows if I can convert plants to ingredient-bearing, harvestable plants, I'd appreciate that. [link]
OakRain
Might be an odd question but have you confirmed that he actually does wander in game by following him for hours and hours? It could be that he is part of the encounter system.*goes to game guide book*I just checked the game guide and he is listed under World Encounter as follows.34 Bard at Rest35 Bard Attacked by Bandits36 Bard Traveling A cunning ruse by Bethesda - not a wanderer at all! I am assuming this means he only spawns when PC enters nearby cell and is despawned as part of cell clear up.

I don't know about you, but that's how I want to my Saturday nights ;) It could be that he is part of the encounter system.*goes to game guide book*I just checked the game guide and he is listed under World Encounter as follows.34 Bard at Rest35 Bard Attacked by Bandits36 Bard Traveling A cunning ruse by Bethesda - not a wanderer at all! I actually had a niggling feeling it might be something like that, but I didn't know how to check it. Thank you very much for telling me. Since I want my guy to exist in the world, not in some list somewhere, I think I will give him a home and play around with some AI travel. (Also, Bethesda, that's pretty cheap. :l )
