TheSpringheeledJack
Hello, just wanted to make a short post to ask what mods you guys use/recommend for a Warrior character in the Companions guild. I've browsed through the Nexus and installed a number of mods, but something still feels somewhat lacking in the experience. Mods I'd be interested in could be anything that modifies Werewolves [their abilities, behavior, etc], to things that improve Warrior gameplay, or even outdoor enviroments, such as additional animals or travelers [victims] on the roads.I'm not looking for severe graphics/HD upgrades, as my computer performance is pretty moderate.I have Dawnguard installed. Some mods I alread have installed pertaining to this character;Tales of Lycanthropy (Brevi)Winter is Coming - Cloaks (Nivea)Sporty Sexy Map - Athletic Muscle Mod UNP (Xs2reality)La Femme Lycana Female Werewolf Body (MadCat221)Ring of Hircine Simplified (MichaelDusk)Werewolf Perks Expanded - Dawnguard (MichaelDusk)Barbarian and Milkdrinker Skin UNP - Barbarian (HoneyVanity)Werewolf Revert Form (RolandSir)The Dance of Death - A Killmove Mod (DaedalusAI)Predator Vision - Vampire and Werewolf (Gopher) The Revert Form mod does cause a small problem with Tales of Lycanthropy by allowing me to revert my form after a lunar change, but the problem is minor, so it's not that important, however, if there is a werewolf revert form mod that doesn't clash like this, I'd prefer to install that mod. DreamKingMods
My Companions Guild mod makes it so you have to truly be a warrior to progress in the questline--it adds weapon and armor skill requirements, among other things. Although if you're already a werewolf, you're probably past the point where it would do the most good. For roadside travelers, there's Travellers of Skyrim. For generally being a warrior...a combat mod like Deadly Combat, Duel, or Duke Patrick's could make a big difference in enjoyment.
StayFrosty05
I play a Werewolf stealthy Archer/Duel Wielder....started him straight out of the gate (Helgen) as a Werewolf thanks to ToL....And have a busy Skyrim without too many mods to make it so....you may be interested in some of what I have....alphabetically listed: Bloodmoon Rising http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22611 Crimson Tide http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12798 Deadly Dragons http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3829 Dragons Hunt in Swarms http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13534 Fighting Styles of Tamriel http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12157 Hunter Traps http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12709 Loot The Body http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10761 Skytest - Realistic Animals and Predators http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10175 Sleeping Dangers Sands of Time http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12452
TheSpringheeledJack
Thanks for the suggestions. Duel, Crimson Tide and Travelers of Skyrim all look neat, I'll have to give them a try. Travelers in particular adds exactly what I was looking for. @DreamKingMods; I saw your Companions Guild mod awhile back, and it also looks great, I'll probably try it with a new save eventually. This time around I wasn't interested in spending all the time to level my character and skills, but mainly because I hadn't actually ever completed the Companions main questline before, even after playing Skyrim all this time. I think your mod definately makes the guild more realistic though, and I love the concept. One thing that's always bothered me about Skyrim is lacking any real feeling of achievement after obtaining something after the first 30+ hours, because generally obtaining those things is far too simple and straight forward. StayFrosty05
I should have just quickly mentioned as it doesn't state it in the description page....'Loot the Body'....allows you to loot the bodies whilst in Werewolf form.

The Simplified ring of Hircine and Werewolf Revert Form offer a simple way to toggle Beast Form if I do feel in the mood for a bit of looting anyway. Would you please link me the 'Simplified Ring of Hircine' Mod?.....I have been watching the Werewolf Revert Mod, but still just tracking as it seems to be experiencing a number of teething problems (pun intended... ...)...am hoping it eventually gets sorted as I would love to stop having to idle the game, go make a cuppa while waiting, etc....until he reverts back to human form again. I found that when I favorited both the ring and the power, the power would disappear from the favorites menu after each use. So instead you can favorite the ring only, and equip it from the favorites menu to take on Beast form each time, without having to reselect the power. This also lets you have a different power equipped and still be able to take on Beast form. The only fault I've found with the mod is you have to be careful not to equip the ring when re-equpping armor, or it will change you to beast form, even if you unequip it again before exiting the menu. I haven't found any real faults with the Revert mod other than the minor conflict with ToL.Edit; Just to be clear; This is the mod I am using.
