Slytovhand
I looked, and couldn't find something like this question, so I thought I'd poll it... Basically, I was standing in front of a cave with a couple of goblins (and later, inside the cave with a rat or 2). They're going off at me, but I'm in my Orcish/dwarven combo ('better levelled lists' mod), so they do *censored* all damage... certainly enough for my Heal Minor to take care of a few times. And, of course, my Heavy Armour/Block is racking up stacks of points... and thus also levelling. And I think to myself... is this really any different to just getting into the console and player.avset ??? So - thoughts?? Is doing this just another variant of cheating? (I do sort of figure that armour type wouldn't really make that much difference in the long run).
jaysus
depends if you think thats cheating... i call it training... and you still need a bunch of mana and repair hammers to actually get any further than 4 or 5 lvls... and if you do more than 5 or 10 lvls (depending on your major) you may loose possible endurance points
dezdimona
I agree with Jaysus, also its your game, what you do in it is your business
WoogieMonster
It's only cheating if it makes you feel guilty. Otherwise, you're just well prepared.
XanAlderon
Does it really matter?
Sarya
Cheating? I once summoned skeletons and used flimsy iron daggers to level my blade skill - and even that is not cheating, though REALLY boring. I now train with nonsummoned wild-living zombies, under certain conditions you cut any of them in pieces without them being able to strike back at all. Abusing Peyrite's followers - now that's cheating.

Real cheaters don't feel guilty at all, so it can only be said about relatively fair-playing people, who still have some consciense.

bben46
It's a single player game. Who are you cheating? The only person you can cheat is yourself. It's your game, do whatever you want. Play the game like you want to, not like others think you should. Personally, I think if it's too easy it's not as much fun.
