MacBran
Sorry if I don't ask in the right forum, but it's related to modding NPC, so I think I'm not wrong.I want to know if there is some consequences to change the race of an NPC for the ElderRace. Especially NPC from the vanilla game.I thought I read something about it somewhere. But I make a quick search on internet, and don't find anything except that this race is pure aesthetic. But are there some special features with this race over physical aspect ?A bit like the child flag, which make an NPC unkillable, give them some specific animations... Omegacron
As far as I know, the Elder race is only used to give the face that wrinkly "old" look. Each race has a texture file that determines the base features for male & female, so the Elder race one is overlaid with wrinkles and a rougher complexion. If you notice, it's only used for Caucasian races - Nords, Imperials, Bretons - and never on Elves or Orcs. The wiki page linked to below seems to agree that it's purely for aesthetic reasons: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Elder Edited August 21, 2019 by Omegacron
