Scrapall vs Disapearing Workbench.

How to keep from scrapping the workbench.

 

2 mods needed to do this, Place everywhere and move that workbench.

 

1. get into build mode

 

2. pick up the workbench and move it just outside of the build zone.

Since scrapall scraps everything inside the zone and by placing it

outside the zone it doesn't scrap and it places everything scrapped into

the workbench.

 

3. After using Scrapall move it back into the zone.

 

This worked for me, not sure if it will bug out anything or not as I have just done it, recommend saving just before scrapall just in case.

I used the Mod Transfer Settlements to nuke a previous settlement build at Sanctuary - done this many times b4 with no problems resulting, and it is wayy less "all encompassing" than using the console with ScrapAll. This time however, my workshop has disappeared completely. No - it's not below ground. I've exhausted any and all search and recovery methods I can come up with before posting this here - my experience with forums has always been less than satisfactory in that replies often arrive after the author of the post has succumbed to old age, if at all. Helpful responses are kinda needed immediately after all, while one's issue is still at large - not 6 months, or 2 years after the fact! :)

 

I also use the mod "Move Workshop Markers" and it woks just fine, but it requires the workshop be physically present in order to work. In the case of my Sanctuary current build. it tells me no workshop to be found, yet I can still enter build mode, scrap stuff, build stuff, assign things etc.

 

Is there any way to re-manifest a workshop gone "astray"?
