Floating Armor Piece

I've built a helmet. It appears in game (with some lighting issues that I'll fix later) but when it's equipped it floats a fixed distance away from the player. It follows the movement of the head, which is the bone I weighted it to.

I'm not sure why this is happening at all.

Edit: Found a solution. Adjusting the transform of the affected bones in the bsskin::bonedata block in nifskope seems to have worked.
