charwo
OK, I've been saying I want to mod, I've been saying that I want to play a vampire Courier and I come across this Ghostdancers Kindred mod. And....it looks promising, But I played a little bit and well, my character rebelled. Mind her I designed her initially for Masquerade and playing just a little but with those creepy, angsty, conceited douchebags, her exact response was 'I don't want to deal with those assholes.' At least not right away.....I'm going to make her, because the first thing your patron says is 'you escape death on a regular basis, so we can pretend that you were a vampire all along,' at which point my character started having laughing conniptions, which she could barely control. Plus....Theresa playing stupid to ease the plot is standard for her. So here's a chance to learn how a mod works. Practical experience if you will. Here's what I need to do:1. Gut the sunlight damage script (more for me, as in story Theresa daywalks cause they all do, HR that vamps can't use powers in sunlight)2. Activate the vampire mechanism, whatever it is at Doc Mitchell's House.3. Then I need to round up the the disciplines my Caitiff has, plus anything else she might have picked up (she got Golconda but.....Golconda being wonky it sorta went away) and find the corresponding perk list to add them ad hoc. This should give me good experience on a bunch of underworkings for mods. Problem is I need someone to run me through it. I don't need someone to do it for me, just tell me what I need to look for, to find that which I need and how to modify the mod to my liking. I need a teacher on this. I'm hoping someone will come forward. Thank you.
devinpatterson
You should also change it to provide stimpack level healing for blood packs if it doesn't already. I'm slammed, but if you don't get any help by the weekend PM me.
charwo
I am again asking for help on this one. The mod with sunlight damage is absolutely useless to me, it's unplayable. I don't want to deal with the sunlight damage, my character will mutiny if I force it upon her, and there's no way to play the mod without being embraced. This is a problem, one I need help to fix. If you want to get permission from the author to alter it, I imagine I can knock the sunshine effects out for you. A little bit too busy to write up a walkthrough, but if you get permission before the weekend, sat & sun would be the best time to work on it for me. charwo
I'll ask. Thanks!
devinpatterson
OK that turned out to be pretty easy as there was a note about the sunlight being switched to a script (in the readme file). So it's here. You shouldn't need to deactivate/re-install the mod, just unrar this one into your data directory replacing Ghostdancers stock Game_Bloodlines.esp
