Weird floating LOD? landforms

Hi all!

I'm working on a location mod, for which I had to delete a bunch of large rocks from the Wasteland. This is my first time editing the world landscape. I've set up my terrain the way I want it, but when I visit the area in-game, it's covered in floating, blurry, noncorporeal landforms.

I think they are LOD terrain from the impassable land which used to be here, but have no idea how to remove it (since the landforms don't show up in the GECK's landscape editor).

How can I get rid of them without regenerating LOD data for the entire Wasteland?

Thanks! =)

"In-game" the engine uses VWD/LOD files that are arranged in "install and load order" dependent "quadrants" or "quads". Whenever you add or remove any such VWD/LOD files, you have to rebuild those "quads" with a tool like FNVLODGen. Your "ghosts" are probably a consequence of not having done this.

Please see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide regarding the need to run both TES4LL and FNVLODGen; or xLODGen - Terrain LOD beta for FNV, FO3, FO4, FO4VR, TES5, SSE, TES5VR, ENDERAL. Also recommend you read the 'LOD/VWD Texture Packs' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article first.
