Hi

Another problem

I have just uploaded to the 1.31 version of Khvatch rebuild, but it is causing oblivion to crash every time. It is only when it is 'unticked' in game Data Files, that Oblivion loads into saved games

Am I not doing something correct, like unticking something else?

Thanks for any help

Kvatch Aftermath and Kvatch Rebuilt are two different mods.

If you're trying to load both of them they will conflict.

You need to double check exactly what you've downloaded.

Kvatch Aftermath is now at version 7+, and is no longer available for public release at this time. I strongly suggest you NOT even try to use a version of Kvatch Aftermath prior to version 6 at least.

If you're using Kvatch Rebuilt, you need to check that you do not have any version of Kvatch Aftermath installed, and read the Kvatch Rebuilt Readme document very carefully. If you had both Kvatch Aftermath and Kvatch Rebuilt installed now, or before, pay particular attention to the Kvatch Rebuilt readme document, as it has a compatibility fix for installing these two mods consecutively. That means one at a time, again, you cannot use both of these at the same time, no matter what versions you have.

I also suggest you double check that you have the latest version of Kvatch Rebuilt, maybe try downloading the latest version again from this site.

Hi myrmaad

Thanks for your reply

Do you think it is best to leave the Aftermath unticked in the Game data file section or completely uninstall it, so inorder to continue playing the kvatch rebuilt mod? Although the crashes have stopped since I unticked Aftermath

Will the Kvatch rebuilt mod continue as normal, because I've unticked it, or will it have have conflicts because I've already installed Aftermath - sorry for daft questions!!

I got confused with Kvatch Aftermath, as I thought it was a update for rebuilt, rather than a stand alone mod - silly me!!

Thanks for your help

myrmaad is part of the team supporting these mods so is in a position to know or ask for more info if you need it.

The latest version of Kvatch Aftermath is currently not available but Kvatch Aftermath 7.2 will be re-released at some point here on nexus.

No support of any kind is offered on beths forums for it or any of our mods officially due to flaming. So if you want us to answer a question, just post it here.

You will find The Elder Council mod is available here on nexus and is one of our newer mods and is extremely popular. It is usually of interest to the type of people that like greater depth and more quests in the game.

Here is a link.

Make sure you have the shivering isle and the Cyrodiil Upgrade resource pack installed for any of our work because it will be a standard download for them all in the future if it is not already.

Here is the like to CURP

Kvatch Rebuilt:

Kvatch Rebuilt cannot be unticked to be uninstallled, you must uninstall it properly using the instructions in the docs otherwise you will suffer problems when the mod is removed. Like missing walls. It is common for users that switch between KR and KA to blame KA for that but it is actually caused by a failure to read the KR docs. So make sure you have read them and you will be okay.

Hi

Thanks for that reply.

Not sure I will be down loading Elder Council, as I do not have Shivering Isles at present

I was thinking of ditching (un-installing) Kvatch Aftermath in favour of continuing with Rebuilt, although not sure which one to continue with, to be honest!!

Are there any advantages with either - for info, have already complted main task

Thanks for feedback

The old version cant really be compared to the newer one from Gisakard. To many changes. Both of them offers different types of game play so it will be up to you to decide with way you want to role play your game. The older version from Gisakard still has the requirement of that you have to completed kvatch first before activating it. I don't know for rebuilt though i never played it. Better read there faq for more info.

Hi dzorro

thanks for your reply, after reading some info on Aftermath mod I am now considering un-installing (no slite against mod designer of Kvatch Rebuilt) Kvatch Rebuilt.

Gisakard - Had a look at Elder Council mod, it looks like a great mod to have. Shame I do not have Shivering Isles at present. Thanks again

Funny though, because I cannot do anything at present, as I stuck inside Gate to Aesgaard!!!!!!

Any other thoughts, then please let me know

Thanks

New versions of Kvatch Aftermath need SI. So when the new one will be released publicly SI will still be a requirement. But it could be worth it ;)

Hi

Sorry, what is SI?

I expect then, it might be best to wait until the new version is released

Thanks again

SI stands for The Shivering Isles from bethesda. DLC
