Perfessor
Sorry about being so late getting back to you. I sometimes have to work 12 hour days, and at my age(60), that doesn't leave much left over. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for the advise. That was right on the money! I've been gaming since the days of Pong, and I still learn something new every day; or at least sometimes it seems that way Game On! Shadowcran
holy cr*p, I've never seen older gamers b4!!! Hey Billy, on Nexus most of us are over 30. Me, I'm 37. Someone had a thread once that had a poll where you mention the age you were and the surprise was that the one with the highest percentage was over 50. I'll tell you why. Most older folks spend their time watching TV and that's about it. Young people actually expect them to be happy doing only this. As more older players are finding that games are a better alternative and a fun way to spend their time, you'll see more and more playing. Also, think about when video games began back with Atari in the lower 80's. Let's say most of the players were about 12...well they'd be 35 to 40 today. What does this mean? Great news...the more people of more ages playing, the more games will be released, the more games will be more mature and less "mario like". LoginToDownload
I like Mario platformers... :unsure:Nothing wrong with games that don't have blood/gore/etc, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, Mario is outright morbid once you take a close look at it.

Perfessor
Holy poo Guys! I've been working in IT all my life. the first computer I built was in 1968 or 1969, I think. It was a kit computer that I bought from Lafayette Electronics. It was programmed with a bank of binary flip-flops, and the display was a bank of LED's. You know what, it's all been downhill from there. ;-| I ran an independent IT business for over 20 years, and sold it only a few years ago. Now I work for "the Man", at least for a little while. I'm about to "bag it", and go sit on a beach somewhere, drink margaritas, and play Crysis on my laptop. You know, I know a lot of "old farts", and most of them are gamers. What else you gonna do when you're too old to "get it up". Oops! I might of over-stepped the bounds there, anyway. GAME ON! Perfessor
