MidbossVyers Posted September 29, 2012 Share Posted September 29, 2012 Let's say I recruit Aranea (I'm playing a devout Dunmer and chose Azura's Star), and I want to equip her with some good items. Also, I don't plan on using any mods that add new items, only ones that slightly alter vanilla items and make certain items in the vanilla game playable that weren't playable before. Because my character is also an assassin, I give Aranea Predator's Grace so she can keep up her stealth. I give her Gloves of the Pugilist because there really aren't many good unique gauntlets for followers in the vanilla game. I use this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8229 and get Nocturnal's Outfit and enchant them with Fortify Health and Magicka. Because she is a mage, she obviously needs at least one hand for spells. Now, what about the other hand? Would she prefer a staff or a weapon? If a staff, I will give her the Skull of Corruption and if a weapon, I will give her the Mehrunes Razor. Naturally, I'll keep the other one for myself, but what should a follower like her usually use? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
arcanewizard Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 Let's say I recruit Aranea but what should a follower like her usually use?i use mage followers, serana now but i've used used illia and eola a lot also and they all use staffs and their spells..i give em plenty of staffs, chain lighting, ice spikes, lightning bolt, fireball, ice storm. storm antronach, sangia rose...they use em all...don't worry about what hand they are doing what...sometimes they'll have two staffs armed, sometimes none...just give em some good enchanted clothing and jewelry also and they'll hold their own just fine. i give each mage follower like 5 or 6 staffs, they decide how to use em.
