Ayanro
I've seen since the movie came out a lot of people online requesting Batman suits, Joker faces and such. While I am still learning how to do a few simple things like texture, I want to get together a team to make a Batman mod that many (including myself) would love to see. -THE SUIT-LHammonds is currently working on a suit based more on the older comic version. Perhaps this would be good enough for some people, while others would want the armored Batman we've seen in the movies. Perhaps one could just use the cowl from LHammonds' mod and wear it with some other armor. I've seen a lot of armor variations out there that would look a lot like Batman if re-textured. Would it be possible (and legal) to get the mesh and texture from the Batman Begins PC game and import it to Oblivion? Also, it would nice if the cowl has an effect sort of similar to the Grey Cowl, when you take it off all the bounty and infamy you recieved is attached to the Bat Cowl, so the player has to actually maintain a secret identity. Oh yeah, and probably affect personality so people are afraid of him. -THE BATCAVE/MANSION-This is one thing that I really would want most out of a Batman mod, besides wearing the suit. Imagine a large mansion (outside the Imperial City?) that the player owns, full of secret entrances to the cave underneath. In this cave is perhaps an alchemy lab, a library full of reference materials, a war room with maps and crime reports, a training area, a model to display the suit on and anything else a costumed crimefighter would need to take on injustice. Maybe if this is outside the IC, there could be a tunnel leading from the Batcave to the sewers, so Batman could go in and out of the city without notice. -THE GADGETS-What's Batman without his gadgets? Batarangs: There probably are some throwing knives mods out there, so this could be the same thing. It inflicts a tiny bit of damage and might cause paralysis. Grappling Bow: Based on the idea from Thieves' Arsenal, arrows that shoot out rope so Batman can climb up onto rooftops to spy on enemies. Flash/Smoke Bombs: These cause a flash, distracting or blinding the enemy. Visors: Maybe built into the cowl or could be turned on like in the Dark Knight, it allows the player to detect life and has nightvision. Handcuffs: Since Batman swore never to kill, maybe this item after an enemy is knocked out will send them to the closest jail. Which brings me to the next section. -THE ENEMIES-Maybe there could be random crimes, like a bandit attack on the city or create a bank that can be robbed by thugs in clown masks. Perhaps things just as simple as thieves stealing from homes or the murder of specific NPCs who do not affect the game in anyway. Just so one can put on the suit and will have to actively seek out crime. The Joker: Perhaps a quest similar to the movie where he is out to cause chaos within the heart of the Empire, he could spend his off-time murdering innocent NPCs when he escapes from jail. Two-Face: Again, a quest could involve this man who quested himself to eradicate crime is turned into a villain. Riddler: While not a combat villain, he could commit crimes and leave riddles the player has to figure out. Poison Ivy: A woman who uses paralyzing and poison gas spells. Deadshot: A mercenary with very high marksman skills. Bane: A very strong villain out to break the Bat. Mr. Freeze: Standard ice spells, really. I could go on and on with all the villains, but I think you get the point. -THE ALLIES-Batman can either work with the Watch or be hunted by them depending on how he operates. Possibly along the way other vigilantes will appear in the city to help out. Gordon: A watch captain who presents the player with quests. Alfred: Takes care of the Batcave and will heal wounds. Lucius: Sort of like a merchant whom the player can buy new suits and gadgets from. Robin: He follows you around and helps you fight. Well, what do you think? Can it be done? demonman562
I think it's a brilliant idea! BUT......... You would need a HUGE and i mean HUGE scripting team and modelers and texturers the whole team would need to consist of almost as many pleople as it took to make the batman games... cause thats what your doing. Taking thats game and puting it into oblivion... Good Luck! But i don't think it will happen, no offence or anything! just saying you would need ALOT of time and alot of commited people. mellowstanlowe
Too much too soon. Go simple. Make mission mods revolving the Batman-verse without really making any changes to gameplay. Pick a villain to put into the game (easiest would be Joker since his skin is done) and make missions revolving him. Eventually, when you have enough support, go all out.
