Since I started playing I though "Wow just think how great this game could be with mods". I mean I love it like it is, but there's always the thrill to create something in a team and releasing it and watching the feedback.

So yeah, modding tools would be awesome. I was surprised they weren't planning on doing them in the first place.

I agree, I would like to see a Construction Set for Fallout 3 to be released. Something like OBlivions would be fine.

I am not really a fantasy fan so my oblivion stuff is really not my area. What I am is a full blown Scifi fan with a special fondness for 50s B movies. Give me the editor and stand back, I'll help make sure the game is still selling like hot cakes 3 years from now.

To ALL:

I think beth probably are waiting to see how the sales go and get the patches out before deciding what to do here. Its not like an Oblivion Title, they knew that would be a popular game. The Fallout series is one of those titles from the past that never really made an impact on the gaming scene the way the Elder Scrolls have for what ever reason, so beth where talking a gamble with it and probably know that.

And I think that gamble paid off.

Everybody loves it.

But its design will make it fade from view in a relatively short time unless modders get their hands on it. 20 levels for starters, not much respawning content, a definite end to the game all says "dead by christmas, forgotten by spring" unless a CS is released to modders.

I must say, i would be deeply disappointed if a CS is not released for it.

What is still making Morrowind and even oblivion still playable now?

what helps make them sell the game further

It is the CS and its mods being produced
