Cbulley
I have downloaded Dragon Age Mod Manager and done the steps to install and run the mods but it is not loading in to my game. I will provide screen shots of what I have done. Any and all help will be welcome. Thank you in advance.
theskymoves
Are the official DLC you've installed working? Did you install the non-DLC mods with the native daupdater.exe utility or some other method? offkorn's Class and Specialization Pack is the only one that appears in your 'cap, but I assume there are others from your post... but at least that one mod isn't showing up in the lower pane of the utility, which it would if your paths to the DAzip storage folder were set up correctly and you'd installed it with DAO-ModManager. Which leads me to ask... are your paths all set up correctly in the 'options' tab? Also, the 'Dragon Age: Origins -Update Service Status: *?*' in the lower task bar is.... odd. It always said 'Dragon Age: Origins -Update Service Status: Stopped' on my machine. I understand (anecdotally) that some versions of the game (i.e the GOG version) may not install DAUpdaterSvc... but if you do have daupdatersvc.service.exe in the bin_ship, folder, I'd make sure that the service is not disabled (the Startup type for the service should be 'Manual'): on Win7 that's Computer>Manage>Services and Applications>Services>Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater>General>Startup type>Manual; no idea how to check on another OS, sorry. Cbulley
The official DLC is working. I believe my paths are correct though I would not know for sure. Let me drop a screen grab. I do have DAUpdeterSVC, but I bought it from Origin if that matters. (It might unfortunately). I have Win 10 but the basics should be the same to make it work. Any other advice? theskymoves
The only thing that looks odd to me are the program paths (the spelling 'Orign'). For comparison, this is screen grab of what my DAO-ModManager options look like... I also used the Origin download version of the game, though this was on either Win7 (or maybe XP, even)... my [user]/Docs location isn't on C: b/c I never have anything on C: but the OS, if I can help it. (Old habits...): And this is what the main screen would look like. Note the mod archives in the override packages and DAzip packages folders populating the bottom panel; if you have any archives stored in those folders they should show up in your installer: If you don't currently have anything in those 'packages' folders, I'd add a DAzip or two to the appropriate sub-folder and then fire up DAO-ModManager... that's the quickest way to determine whether those paths are okay or not. Also, try running DAO-ModManager with Administrator permissions, if it isn't already. And since the game did install DAUpdaterSvc, I suggest confirming that the startup option for the service is not set to 'disabled'.
