Mirage668
Probably an off chance, but all my webfu has failed... I am looking for a guide... tutorial, or what ever on adding a simple texture. I want to add a decal texture, I have Photoshop so making the texture is a non issue, and I can convert it too DDS. Dissected a few decal files in the editor but that only answers a few questions. So yea... if anyone can point a guide or what not out... awesome.
thousande
Never seen a guide for this, but what is the question(s)? Have you looked at some of the decals in the vanilla?
Thirdstorm
+1 onthousande's Comment. I'd suggest unpacking the Vanilla files and looking at the Combat Armor Torso and the T-60 Power Armor Torso Nifs, their Material files and Textures. Then in CK look at how they are configured,
Mirage668
Well I went taught myself how too swap textures... So this will be fun... But still now sure how to make a decal in the editor, the file they make the adds and the like out of.I have some textures made I want to use as in game graffiti, and I figure a decal would be bestjust not sure how to make the decal use my texture. I will experiment, maybe I can use the same method I used to swap the van texture...Most of the texture swap vids are as bad as stereo instructions. KalibKadafi
You are correct you can use just textures. Backtrack decals in ck. For instance look at the mass fusion decal. That is a paint design. Basically see the files they used duplicate them and put your own textures in the spot. You might have to edit the uvs in nifskope. Because when I do decals I make a mesh for them so I can later put on whatever I like.
