Vampire Cure Quest: Using to console to bully through

This is semi-related to my earlier post about the Vamp Cure quest. I'm trying to play through it without being a Vampire. To be clear, I want to "play" through it, not just use "setstage" to complete it. I can get it to trigger by using "addtopic CureForVampirism" and talking to a chapel healer. I get referred to Ramius at the Arcane University as normal, but when I get there, the quest topic isn't in Ramius's dialog options. I've tried using addtopic again, but no luck. Any advice?

I think there might be a variable that gets set after the quest is complete. To recomplete this quest, you will likely have to set a good deal of items (either by making a mod, or by the console).

 

I'll try to remember to look at the CS on this quest when I can, but I would recommend you do the same. Take not of the scripts especially.

What Ethre said, there most likely are a few script/variable checks running that will prevent the quest from running until you do become a vampire. You could open up the game in construction set, opening the quest options and checking all the scripts/variable checks related to it, mainly what you're looking for is variable checks that could be used to check if you're a vampire or not. Once you find the variable/script checks that are causing the quest not to progress while being a human, change the target of the check to something different or simply reverse the requirement, which might not be advisable in this specific quest tho.

I'm pretty sure that 'vampirism' is a global so there will be all sorts of conditions and scripts associated with it ... eek! . I'm sure one of the pro scripters will be able to help you out though. Good luck.
