Baron444
HeyI would love to use a great graphic I found for a mace that I love, though it is low tier and base weapon damage without grindstone is only 13 damage..Would it be possible to add a whetstone or sharpening stone to add +raw damage to our weapons? Either as a buff or permanent I don't mind...I'm using ordinator perks and loving the mace 1 hander skill tree.. But cannot find any good maces to use that I like so far.. There is the steel spiked club which I enjoy (I think from a mod) but alas only 13 damage.. If I could buff it permanently or short term even, i would be happy..I think this is a great idea, no longer having to stick to the top weapons in game having to do the "top damage" As you could have tiers of sharp and whet stones that are unlocked or bought that would somehow maybe after many applications increase a 13 damage weapon to a base damage of ~40 after say 5 applications...Just brainstorming..Im not smart enough to mod on my own, blast these never ending ideas!! thumbincubation
I'm not sure I follow. In the vanilla game, you can increase the damage of the weapon, enchanting aside, by taking it to the grinding wheel. If you take it with a piece of smithing-enchanted clothing or jewelry, you can increase it more, even more with 2, 3, or 4 pieces, and if you add a smithing potion to it, still more. You can easily get a plain steel mace into triple digit damage, without exploit, just by using the vanilla game mechanics to your advantage. Work to level your smithing, alchemy, and enchanting.Find pieces of smithing and alchemy gear. Disenchant them, then apply the enchantment to 4 appropriate pieces, with grand gems. These effects will stack. They will be stronger if you use an enchanting potion when making them. Wear the alchemy gear when making your enchanting and smithing potions, then use the potions to enchant your smithing gear. Wear all 4 pieces of smithing gear and take a smithing potion, when you use the grinding wheel. As your smithing skill progresses, you'll be able to keep improving the items with the same gear, but as your alchemy and enchanting skills progress, you'll be able to make more powerful alchemy and smithing gear. Then you can make better smithing potions and improve your weapons even more. You can even use a restoration potion in conjunction with your 4 pieces of enchanted gear, and whatever other potions, as enchantments fall under restoration. There is absolutely no reason you can't become a force to be reckoned with, with iron weapons and leather armor. All you need to do is keep improving it.
