Honnou
The reason I don't believe it's decimal, is because plugging in other numbers that we can look up doesn't result in the same color. Unless, of course, I'm doing it wrong, which is entirely possible since I don't usually work with any kinds of code. But for now, throw out some basic colors, red, purple, yellow, etc, and I'll show what the game gives us for it.
ancientRED
A basic red hex of #FF0000 gives a decimal code of 16711680A purple hex of #CC0099 = 13369497A yellow hex of #FFFF00 = 16776960A green hex of #00CC00 = 52224A blue hex of #330099 = 3342489 Try those, I'm not at a computer with Fallout 3 at the moment or I would myself. Honnou
Nope, everything shows up as some variation of green (Red, Purple, Yellow, are all readable variations. Blue is such a dark green I can't even read it set as the HUD. Green gives a blue similar to the default).
ancientRED
Just got to my main PC and checked it out. You're right, it seems to use something other than decimal code, or at least some variation of it that I'm unfamiliar with.
Honnou
Well, all I can say is, until we know what kind of code it uses, just every now and then type down random numbers and record the results. There's certainly got to be a pattern, and even if we can't figure it out, we might at least run into some other colors.

MrFlint
Are those lines supposed to be in the Falloutprefs.ini? because they arent in mine, and adding them does nothing...
Madus Hatterus
Can these colors be used for both the user interface and VATS?Ive done everything I can imagine to get this to work, and still no luck.Just out of curiosity, does changing the color in options after you'veloaded with the new color invalidate the change? Madus Hatterus
BAH! I got it. Under your games/Fallout/user/saves file, if you have a saved game already stored there, you need to change THAT falloutprefs.ini. I had been altering the default prefs, but when it logs you into LIVE, it loads your login pref.
