GordonShock
Hello, I've reinstalled Skyrim SE along with a bunch of mods. I added the SKSE to Steam so that when I put it in full screen mode on my TV I can play on it. I have a 65' inch 4K tv that's plugged to my computer as the third monitor and I'd love to play the game on it. The performance is not that great though, I thought that it was the mods but when I play it on the main screen it is a fluid 60fps. I've set the resolution on my tv to 1440p or 1080p but performance remains poor. The cool thing about my tv is that it displays the resolution when an application goes full screen. Even though I set the resolution of the tv to 1440p or 1080p when I launch SKSE from Steam in big picture mode it launches the application in 4K and that would explain the not-so great performance hass 4K is probably too taxing with all the mods involved. Is there any way to lock the game at a fixed resolution no matter the native resolution or monitor settings? ps, I've tried inputting 1440p in the INI file to no vail. Grospolina
Have you tried changing the resolution in your video card settings? When you go fullscreen, it may be using the resolution you've set there. Alternatively, you could try borderless windowed mode by ticking both boxes in the Skyrim Launcher. You can also choose the resolution there, instead of editing the INI manually. Edited September 16, 2019 by Grospolina
