Japan Home SSE Conversion Issue

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I was wondering if someone could help me out. There is one mod i have been unable to port in SSE and i really miss it. It was always my main residence in LE. I tried converting it myself the usual way but i always CTD when i get in the vicinity. I tried reaching out to the mod author but i got no response. The mod is the following. If one of you has the time to check it and tell me how to convert it, that would be awesome.

Well, I see how you're having problems with this one! I got it to work, but there's still something strange going on.

  • I spent a ton of time cutting out the RealShelter stuff using TESEdit. This included weathers, script activators and rain occlusion planes (I think). I managed to remove RealShelter.esm as a master.
  • I cleaned the ITMs and fixed a bunch of wild edits. The mod author must be playing German Skyrim, because a bunch of vanilla items and dialogue were in German (e.g. Skyrim is "Himmelsrand").
  • I converted the ESP to Form 44 using the CK.
  • I extracted the BSA.
  • I ran all meshes through NIF Optimizer.
  • I ran the meshes through NifScan and it still said there were issues in most files (Bit 9 flag in BSX and SLSF1_External_Emittance don't match).
  • I tried it out and it crashed when traveling there.
  • I deleted all textures and it worked, but everything was purple of course.
  • I uncompressed all textures and it worked.

I don't understand what's happening with the textures. The diffuse are in DXT1 and the normals are in DXT5. This should work. I tried to convert them all to BC7 and that didn't work either. I tried to fix the BSX flag in the NIFs using NifSkope and that didn't help. Maybe it's being caused by something else in the NIFs.

Two of the textures were actually JPEGs renamed to DDS, but fixing this didn't do anything until they were uncompressed.

Thanks for trying all this. Turns out the issue is the textures. They are the wrong size (Not dividable by 4). Someone on LL sent me a package with the textures all fixed and it worked. I removed RealShelter as a master but did not touch the edits or the scripts and the mod now works fine. Thanks again for trying.
