devinpatterson
I don't know if it will be made to require DLCs or not but if it uses DLC stuff you could have androids of dean domino and Vera Keyes that use snippets of dialogue from dead money? Other ones could included Elvis (use the kings voice), Robert House and Jane Russell? That's a great idea Flamenx01, and it could also include another famous tv star from vault-tec tv, "Ralphie". If ED-E is along and meets him, it's going to be the bromance of the century. Maybe for kicks the sci-fi stage could be captain cosmos and his moon monkey Jangles. Hmmmm I wonder if there are any other fallout tv or movie celebrities?
DesertRose2281
..... oh and Kat welcome to the team Glad you decided to join!!I appreciate it, Truxton. I feel honored to be here. ^_^ @devinpattersonThat makes perfect sense. I realized last night that I accidentally misread your previous message on the subject, too. ^^"I also like the idea of having some of the stages parts of films that were in progress. Perhaps we could create the set of the last movie Marilyn Monroe was working on, "Something's Got To Give," with Dean Martin. In her documentary, she died before the film could be finished from an overdose of sleeping pills...after that, the movie was officially cancelled. We could use the backyard pool scenery as one of the stages where she is.As for other sets in the museum, perhaps we could reminisce movies from that similar era. For Westerns, perhaps something like Pale Rider with Clint Eastwood, or...I had another movie on my mind, but I can't think of the name...and for horror, there was a very old black and white film I watched called "Them!" which was about radioactive ants that wreaked havoc in the California desert (I think it was California, I'll recheck when I get the chance). That one seems perfect, and perhaps we could incorporate an ant hill that burrowed into the building. xD I hope some of these can help wash up some new ideas. :)

I used the term stage a little loosely, giving the wrong or confused impression. I do see them acting out famous movie scenes (say the most iconic parts of a movie), but not actually filming new movies per se like a studio. Imagine it more along the lines of a theatrical performance (in teh sense of a play). There would be rows of chairs like a theater where patrons would view the play (probably pretty short little scenes of the most popular moments of tv or a movie, that would last 5 or 10 minutes). Your celebrity tour guide might set up the play by providing some background material on it. And s/he/it would then walk the group over to the next stage (while in character), where the new scene would start with different actors. A movie studio mod would be a fun too though, especially since I bet the movie stages could be very large. The movie titanic actually built part of a ship as a set. Whereas our Madame Tussauds building probably has less room to play around with. Wish there were more fallout celebrities to recreate in lore, I'd prefer to use them. But if need be, we can mirror 1950s celebs and change them a bit to fit a different time line (while keeping the same cultural style/feel). For Westerns, perhaps something like Pale Rider with Clint Eastwood, or...I had another movie on my mind, but I can't think of the name... I love pale rider but it's a bit more modern than the cultural setting of fallout. They seem to stick around the 1950's era for their fashion/dress/entertainment/culture etc. We'll have to do a bit of research to see examples of popular 1950s westerns (which I'm sure will be insanely campy). and for horror, there was a very old black and white film I watched called "Them!" which was about radioactive ants that wreaked havoc in the California desert (I think it was California, I'll recheck when I get the chance). That one seems perfect, and perhaps we could incorporate an ant hill that burrowed into the building. xD Interesting idea. So your saying there is a stage for a re-enactment of "Them" and in an ironic twist, real giant ants have burrowed into the building at that stage? I thihk that would fit well, and the ants might very well ignore the android protectrons too. So I was thinking that the programming having been scrambled has resulted in dialog from their scripts mixing with their security protocol. So pre-war if they ran across someone they might rattle off something like this "Halt, you are criminally trespassing, a felony in the state of Nevada, punishable by"......etc. But now that their programming is all messed up the captain cosmos protectron/android might jump up and say "Watch out Jangles it's the evil emperor Ming and his dastardly companion(s)" We have combat stages (protectron androids armed with weapons), and character based stages (fallout celebrities, done to reinforce and take advantage of lore), but I think it would be nice to offer some other challenges or gaming styles. Maybe the possibility of sneaking by for stealthy characters. Or perhaps there are terminals near each stage and tech savy characters can defeat or bypass encounters via hacking. I was also curious about including a master mainframe running all the androids. Shutting it down could shut down all the bots en mass.

But sure that sounds like a good setting since I doubt too many Marilyn Monroe movies have a combat angle to them. Although since she's an alternate reality version, sort of a multiverse reflection of our marilyn monroe, maybe in the fallout universe she did some movies there that might provide some combat opportunities. Maybe a gangster flick with some gents carrying tommy guns. Or a sci fi flick. If I remember right the real Monroe did a western or two?

But if need be, we can mirror 1950s celebs and change them a bit to fit a different time line (while keeping the same cultural style/feel). I can understand that. I think we're going for more of a display of a particular film's actor...I getcha. ^_^ I love pale rider but it's a bit more modern than the cultural setting of fallout. They seem to stick around the 1950's era for their fashion/dress/entertainment/culture etc. We'll have to do a bit of research to see examples of popular 1950s westerns (which I'm sure will be insanely campy). I noticed that, and I do apologize. I was just throwing out movie ideas, and realized a moment too late that I made a mistake. :sweat:However, I happened to look back in my Fallout folder and noticed a movie poster that was released in 1954...I think images speak louder than words, but I'll let y'all be the judge. This is what I found:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/7b/Johnny_guitar.jpg It immediately hits you, doesn't it? It's almost too perfect..! Not only is this song in the game, but now we can have the benefit of this amazing film in the mod, too! Just imagine a player listening to this song, and seeing this movie's display. If I remember right the real Monroe did a western or two? Though sadly, it isn't a Marilyn Monroe Western, but I thought this would be an excellent replacement, if anything. [EDIT#1 - 4/24/14] Still, I did find a nice~ Western that she did, called "River of No Return."http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTI0Mjc2MTA1MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNTI5MTI1MQ@@._V1__SX1303_SY615_.jpg She looks stunning, so it seems to be a perfect fit. Bonus point for it being released in the same year as "Johnny Guitar" movie. :) [end of EDIT#1] Interesting idea. So your saying there is a stage for a re-enactment of "Them" and in an ironic twist, real giant ants have burrowed into the building at that stage? I think with these ideas that we're all throwing out at each other, we can take bits and pieces and develop further onto them, making it even more amazing than it was originally realized. Ooops my reply got dropped from my previous post. TruxtonMiles
Just for the record, President Kennedy was having an affair with Marilyn there is is plenty of info on that and plenty of ideas we could use with that! sorry for neglecting this mod guys, I'm just really busy with work and school ):

I saw that in the documentary...it was definitely one of the big things at the time of her last film. She was also rumored to have some sort of relationship with President Kennedy's brother, Robert, at the time, too.Perhaps we could incorporate some holotapes at the android museum's back offices with personal conversations between them that hinted at a relationship, or something along those lines...or better yet, we could have a terminal that the founder of the android museum used to write up reports of their findings, things that fascinated him or her, like these affairs with the Kennedys...some files could be corrupted so players will sadly not get the full story, leaving it open for interpretation. Bah! I feel like I'm throwing out more stuff to y'all then actually helping y'all. Sorry about that if it's true. And it's alright, Truxton. I've got my niece and nephew to watch over while my sister works, so I know what it's like to juggle. We're just naturally busy with what life throws at us. Besides, "when life gives you lemons.....don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back!" xD
