Looking for a combo magic system

Like rapid, weak, but decent spells that allows you to damage your enemies through a series of combos, using spells only of course.

 

I don't even know if anyone came up with this... And I wonder if it's even possible to create a firebolt spell that hits instantly and not take a while to fly across the screen...

In a way, I want to see if you can use magic that you can zap, burn, and freeze enemies with a snap of a finger, but isn't overpowered as it is rapid.

 

So an example:

 

 

*You target a wall and cast 'Scorch' three times, your character would cast the spell rapidly three times under 2 seconds, but deals less damage per shot.*

 

Since the spell speed is instant, that means the target area gets a mini explosion 3 times, but too small to make a huge difference.

Now for lightning and ice elements, lightning could have sparks appearing each time it is cast, and ice would have a small cold fog "explosion" each time.

 

 

Advanced levels of the spells could evolve into a short Incineration, small lightning bolt from the sky, and frost appearing around the target.

 

This idea works great for Spellsword types, seeing how the spells are weak but quick.

woah...what your asking is to completly change the magic system of vanilla...still i like the idea !

Neah, you just need to set the projectile speed for theese spells to something realy high. I think 1000 was instacast.

And if it is possible to change the projectile speed, doesn't that means that those with gun mod (staves) can edit it to fire faster?
