Slugworld
I just found this article on the next Elder Scrolls game. http://www.custompc.co.uk/news/605103/new-...d-for-2010.html Bethesda's publishing executive says that Elder Scrolls V is pencilled in for 2010 It’s now been two years since we were bowled over by Oblivion’s gorgeous countryside scenery and water effects, while also being bewildered by beggars who suddenly start talking with a posh accent, not to mention the curious ability of bandits to level up at the same time as you. Criticisms aside, Oblivion was a great epic fantasy game that was beautifully designed, so we’re particularly excited by the news that a new Elder Scrolls game could be out in 2010. Speaking to gamesindustry.biz, Bethesda’s publishing executive, Paul Oughton, said: ‘at the moment we've got Fallout 3 for this year and potentially there's a new Elder Scrolls title in 2010,’ when talking about the developer’s current game schedule. Okay, so we’ve got a while to wait, but we also had a good four-year gap between Morrowind and Oblivion, and both games were absolutely huge, so it’s no surprise that Bethesda is going to take some time on the next game in the series. Given that Oblivion pushed top-end DirectX 9 cards to their limit at even modest settings when it was first released, we should be able to expect the new Elder Scrolls game to offer similar challenges to the next generation of graphics cards, hopefully with some dazzling visual effects. With any luck, Bethesda will also employ more than four voice actors and work a bit harder on the way in which you level up in the new game too. Are you excited about the prospect of a new Elder Scrolls game, and what would you want Bethesda to do with it? Give us your ideas for a dream epic RPG in the comments section below. I can't wait....
