evrymetul
I had this idea to make addiction in Fallout more realistic. When you are in withdrawal, you automatically take the drug you are addicted to too symbolize your dependency. If you don't have the drug with you, you will receive the reductions you normally get, but they increase over time. Eventually, after a long time, you will lose your addiction. What do you guys think, and how the hell do you script this?
Deleted2547005User
That would be awesome. Script wise it's simple, but effect wise it's difficult. Maybe...
Deleted2547005User
I've been doing a little work on this and it looks rather easy to do. I've made two more addiction "states" for each Addiction Type (Jet, Hydra, etc.) and can use a quest script to track the time to apply the addictions, eventually removing them altogether. evrymetul
Thanks for your effort. I didn't think anyone would pick this idea up.
Deleted2547005User
I was going well until I hit a road block. I do not know the function to get what effects the player has. Without that, I can't switch between withdrawal effects.

Deleted2547005User
Thanks. It's an old TES function, and looking at it would lead you to think that it wasn't used in the game, since there is no magic in Fallout.
