NaughtyDutchman
Out of curiosity really. I have always wanted to mod with Skyrim, but I seem to be a relatively poor manager of mods, or at least I have been not so great at making sure mods cooperate when using nexus. A majority of the time I just give up and get bored of trying to make things work. But that was because my life up till now didn't allow me much time to waste my energy being frustrated with a game among the many other things I could be frustrated with. Now I have a great job and I'm relatively healthy, I want to start bearing down on things I have wanted to do for a while. One of those goals was do a modded playthrough of Skyrim. I'm fairly aware of whats necessary, but now I have another conundrum. Which will make for a better modded experience? Oldrim or SSE? I can see that there is a MASSIVE difference in the number of mods available for the former game, but I understand that SSE runs in 64-bit which usually implies much more for mods to work with. So I kind of want some opinions or suggestions on what might be a good way to go. Are there some pretty kick ass/legendary mods I will be missing out on if I go with SSE? Or will I be robbing myself of the best experience with the enhancements made to it over Oldrim? I remember at the start, SSE had very few mods to be supported and since Ive given it a good long while to get up and running, I'm wondering if returning to it I'll find a better modded experience. TL;DR - Forever newbie wants to know which version is better to go with at this stage in Skyrim's life when it comes to modding.
Gorsha
Go for Skyrim SE.More stable and have many mods now. Most important "must have" mods are converted from LE to SE version. And my advice to manage your mods with Vortex.
