conejeitor
Hi I have a newby on RPG type question:If I'm an Elf with 100 points in the blade ability. Am I as powerful as a Northic with a 100 in blade ability? In other words, Can I be as strong as anyone can be on any ability? I know it might take longer, but can I?Thanks. Sarya
Yes. Of course there are matters of racial special abilities and non-retroactive constitution, but basically yes, on the big run all have the same potential.
dezdimona
magical items can add to ability's also
Sarya
But any race can wear them, Dez. Depending on luck finding them, of course.

conejeitor
Thanks Sarya,What is non-retroactive constitution? And, to be perfectly sure (I'm betting my cousin about this.): Being a Wood Elf with blade=100, the damage I do with Umbra, is the same damage a Northic would do with the same sword? I guess supposing the same strength also right? Also, is it the same for armor wearing? If being a wood Elf I wear heavy armor for a long time, will I be as skilled with it as a Northic? Wood elves should wear light armor by birth. Thanks again.
Sarya
Or endurance, whatever, I have non-english version anyway. That simply means, that, if you get constitution increase on later levels which would increase your hitpoint bonus per level, hitpoints for previous levels are not added. RandomJF
All stats and skills equal, every race can achieve the same things that any other race can. The differences in the end are aethetic, racial abilites, and start health/fatigue/magicka.. However, up until the point where everything is maxed is another matter entirely. Assuming you're on PC, use the player.setAV command to compare damages between the races if you want hard evidence. i.e. player.setAV strength 100 Then repeat for blade.
