eoinster
Hi all, just got Fallout: New Vegas for the PC, and I know it has an extensive modding community, so before I even start playing, I would like to know which mods could enhance my experience. I don't mean complete conversions, just any little or big things which will make my playthrough more enjoyable- mechanic additions, graphic enhancements (ENBS, etc.), or anything really. I'm no stranger to modding, I've modded the crap out of my Skyrim, but I'd like to know which mods would be a good start for New Vegas! Examples I would like are ENBs, the more monsters mod in Skyrim, or anything that adds something but takes away nothing... I'm abit of a techie, so no need for full instructions, just the name of the mods or a download link would be awesome! Any mods and any amount of mods would be much appreciated, as many as you can think of, and any little thing! Thanks a million guys!
techstepman
well a good way to find the most popular mods would be to go to the index and inside each category display it as "downloads" "descending" that way you can see whitch mods have been most popular according to their downloads.it would take me hours to actually link you to all those mods i like.first you should go with breezes male body replacer and dimonized type 3 female body replacer. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42666 this is interesting, also the western skies mod looks good to me and pipboy radious...play with the ui mods to find whitch you like...i like the pitgirl since i always play with a female character...now that im thinking about it the best way would be to first try out HD texture packs and other graphical mods like enbs and the like.after that go for uis so that you wont have to deal with the crappy vanilla ui.after that just go crazy with armors and weapons of your choice even though the game is pretty full with all that it has on vanilla.hmmm maybe get a mod to break the faction of each armor or piece of clothing so that you wont find your friends shooting at you just because you wore an enemies clothing or armor.i say leave weapons and armors mods for your second playthrough since they are numerous and so many modders have done such a good job that you'll probably want almost all of them(like me).i managed to gather all mods i like but it took me 3 days of browsing though the nexus, and i still havent tested them.I think that you will need more help with suggestions about graphical mods.i havent played for a long time so there are so many mods im not familiar with so i cant really help with that.hopefully someone who has played and tested the most popular graphic mods should give us a good suggestion about a good and working mod combo. also check this out ,as for enbs there arent so many for falloutNV as there were for skyrim. here are some suggestions:http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35878http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34868http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44025http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/43135http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39328http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47632http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/48010http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36646havent really tested any of them yet so i cant really say much about compatibilities.just ask the creators themselves for more info.i really love the pipboy radious though.i ve been using it since alexscorpion first made it for FO3. many people love this one.the original creator took it of from the nexus but i found it here http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/downloads/44462-fallout-new-vegas/1273-armement/30698-armes-xcalibruniverse-impulse-purchase-dlc-17.php just click "telecharger",i checked with bingtranslate and it means "download",here are the notes:http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/downloads/44462-fallout-new-vegas/1273-armement/details-30698.php Edited October 7, 2012 by techstepman
