Custom Follower - How to add into Bodyslide CBBE?

Hello,

I need some help please.

I have created a custom follower, she is using my customised body meshes. However, I would like the person downloading the mod to be able to change bodyshape to their liking via Bodyslide.

How do I go about doing this please?

An example would be Seductress Faye - Her name appears in the drop down when you want to apply your bodyshape to her. I would like exactly the same for my follower. Just not sure how to do it?

OR

Is it a case that the above is complex and the easiest thing to do would be to set the custom follower's meshes/textures folders to the standard directory, instead of the Follower's directory.? Meaning it should just use whatever meshes and textures the person downloaded uses?

So use this for example: \Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\femalebody_1.nif

Rather than this: \Data\meshes\actors\character\Jade\body\femalebody_1.nif

??

Thanks for any help you can offer. Apologies in advance if this is posted elsewhere.

Smaffs.

FWIW, this *might help

Tutorial: Make any Character a Standalone Follower

--------

PS> you might check the mods listings for Sofia mods. She has a custom bodyslide, so her source files and directory structure might also help reveal the details.

Also, a slightly less messy way might be to check for more recent follower mods that include unique bodyslide presets for their character by default (ie in one download instead of the multiple download method you'd require for Sofia or some of the older ones) . download, extract all, and check out the layout for associated directory structure detail.

for instance, see "Snowie" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29168

Her description includes this tidbit:

This is EVO3B version with Breasts, butt, belly physics

Mod including her body Bodyslide preset xml file by default.
There's a Standalone version of Angel Wix Outfit with 3B Physics and BodySlide.

The guts though? (ie whatever behind the scenes code linking goes on) Not sure and that's where that video *might be instructional...

note - I have not created any CCKIT content myself as of yet, so grain-of-salt rules apply to my advise above. I have asked myself that question though (and will be watching that video myself, later tonight after work is done. Hopefully it contains the answer to your question and several others of mine.)
