Problems using the Nexus Mod

So i'm trying to use the miku mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16209

I installed the nexus mod manger and loaded everything correctly with the .esp plugin check and the mod installed properly "mod was successfully loaded", but it's not working. I just installed skyrim from steam and I have everything autoupdated so any ideas why my character isn't changing? The mods aren't light grey, but im at the beginning of the game so do I need to edit an item or something? I even tried manually replacing my data folder in steamap/common/skyrim but its not working. Any help is appreciated thanks.

 

For the nonreplaceable version the readme states

 

Use Nexus Mod Manager to load the mod, making sure that the esp. file is checked

Check the index number (its next to the load order)

of the mod and use that to replace the xx.

For example if the index is 5 then replace the xx with 05

 

Hatsune mask XX390100

Hatsune clothes XX390101

Hatsune shoes XX390102

 

Patrol tone clothes XX390301

 

Weapons - leek XX390070

 

I don't see any X values on my mod manger and the index number is already 02(etc) so what does this mean?
