I have been through the entire dungeon and i'm a t the point where i am supposed to collect Gratian Caerelliu's journal. Well i head over to the sleeping bag where his skeleton is supposed to be at, however upon aproaching where the skeleton is meant to be placed...it's gone....and the quest marker is right above the sleeping bag.....WTF/ how am i supposed to continue if i cant see his body? there is no prompt to search because there is no body. I have verified my game files and nothing, i have tried reloading a save from before getting to that massive door where his corpse is supposed to be at and nothing.....i'm honestly kinda going mad about this as it's just strange. I did use that one mod called "Alternate Start - Live another Life" but i doubt that is the cause. Does anyone know anything i can do to fix this? Then type "enable" maybe also need to type "moveto player" because it might be sunk into the floor.Another option more drastic is "player.additem xx020a2f 1" (this is the journal) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And i want both items the journal and sword....i have read somewhere that i can spawn the sword but it wont have the magic effect, so it's basically kinda useless as i won't be able to open up the huge door. Did you happen to try to resolve both the missing pickaxe quest and the mine quest at the same time? (This is what I *think might have led to my own instance of the glitch, but I'm still not sure. could be coincidence) In any case, I ended up getting out of the dungeon by console cheat. First I tried spawning the missing journal and sword. (the skeleton wasn't the only thing missing, nothing associated with Gatian was there) As I recall, the book resulted in one quest step closer, but the spawned sword just wouldn't work, so I had to TCL through the gate and made my way back to the surface Wandered around Solstheim for a bit doing other random stuff, then headed back to the mainland for a few game days. Came back for another quest (the ruin dig) and found that there was a marker on the mine from the pickaxe quest. muttered "wtf?" and went over to the mine, where I discovered I was effectively right back where I'd been prior to my last efforts. This time, I did not ask about the pickaxe and just did the final descent quest. All proceeded normally. when I played out the final scenes with Crescius Caerellius and completed that quest, Only then I asked about the pickaxe and resolved that mini quest. I posted a query myself about it. Someone replied "some quests require waiting 24 hours". Not exactly sure how that applied for this quest (maybe I achieved my objective too quickly?), but in any case, it self-corrected. I suppose it's possible that the dig quest was interfering, or that my trying to finish off the pickaxe quest before wandering down into the mine glitched it...not sure... MaddFiddler Posted June 11, 2020 Share Posted June 11, 2020 Same issue, got to the end and no skeleton. Tried consoling in the items, journal helped the quest but the blade did nothing. Figured "anjenthedog" had the right idea, that taking the pickaxe quest at the same time was causing the issue. So, I reloaded a save before entering mine but I did have the pickaxe quest in my journal and started the "Decent Quest". Got to the door and the body was there with all items and the blade worked.
