UI Modification

I've been attempting to modify the overall UI of the game. I've found hudtemplates.xml, but editting it seems to have no effect whatsoever. Has anyone had more success finding the areas to mod the UI? In particular the HP Bar, AP bar, the quest reminders and other notifiers that come up while you're exploring.

you want to look at hudmain.xml in the main folder as well

I don't know anything about this, but a good person to ask would be DarN over at TES Nexus. He made a great UI overhaul for Oblivion.

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to make the HP and AP bars smaller and less intrusive. What I have found so far is to get the UI Mod and then modify the hud main xml file with Notepad 2 or something similiar. I have been able to move the AP bar all the way to the bottom and to the right, but cannot make a difference with the HP bar. I only messed with it for about 30 mins and I'll get back to this thread if I find any other useful things. If somebody knows how to shrink the bars on the main HUD, please let us know. Thanks
