Melee animations and power attacks

I can't ever get special power attacks to work, knockdown and disarm, etc. They get them on me often enough. :P

 

So, I want to make my own system. The other mods add that annoying head bob. On a critical, play the stab animation. Have some attacks knock them down. How do change the attack animation based what was rolled(random %)

You are aware that power attacks require specific levels in specific skills? Have you tried testing by using the console to give yourself the needed skill levels? Seems a lot easier than creating your own system.

 

As for changing the animation used, I believe what you want is in this article. "... the start text key that tells the animation when to start".

I have had skill of 100 on other characters. On my current game, I have skill of 75. I'v had many others. I got them rarely. No complex key codes, just a random chance for it to happen.
