palacios21
I'm new to modding and was wondering if it's possible to have two separate files of fallout 4 on the same computer. I made a separate clean file to add and test mods with, and even added it to steam as a nonsteam game but whenever I try to run it, it opens up my modded version of fallout 4 as opposed to the one i created to mod with. Thirdstorm
yes, many authors have dual installs, one for modding and playing, one for testing. Download the game, install updates, rename directory, then using steam do a file check and it will re-download and install FO4
palacios21
Awesome, it worked. That was much easier than I expected. Thank You!
Murielkai
I just copy the contents of my Fallout 4 directory to a Fallout 4b folder then when I go to my workshop/CK build I change the name of my main game to Fallout 4a and my alternate game to Fallout 4. I have slow internet so re-downloading 30-50 gigs is painful.
