us2china2
I've started a mod, and now realize that if I do it all by myself it may take years to finish. I was infected with the mod making bug after playing Glenvar Castle (Great mod!) and it only gets worse as time passes. I'd love to make this a "must have" mod, but I think everyone will be playing Elder Scrolls IX before I can finish. Planned content = A nicer place for the Archmage to hang, making the player rethink some of the original content/quests, stuff to keep the Archmage(or possibly a thief) busy, furthering the main quest, and all in an open-ended, do or don't do style. Plot = an extension of the Mage Guild quest line ++++ a whole bunch more. I'm trying to do this so that it doesn't require any other mods or downloads. (read "just add to vanilla OB and play") Progress = Much of the required architecture, (I built it, so saying it's marvelous is a bit biased, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.) storyline, plans for new spells and effects, books and notes, (clues to the quest) and a little scripting. (after five days chasing bugs, I'm pretty proud of this work) Help wanted/needed = an editor to tell me what stinks, a script writer/quest builder so I don't spend five days figuring out how to do each thing I want to do, additional ideas, and lots of subterranean cells. If there are any experienced modders out there with some free time... PLEASE!Anyone interested please PM me. TIA
LoginToDownload
I know my way well enough around quests and scripts. I should also have tons of time after this friday and enough before then, so I'd be glad to help. Give me a few weeks before asking me to build a cell, though. I'm fed up with them after finishing off the interiors for an upcoming mod. :)

I feel this is a pretty big project, so anyone else that wants to help is more than welcome.
BobSob2020
/me is ready to write dialogues (I kinda got to thinking you already have the plot somewhat detailed, no?). Just wondering how big of size are you planning to making it (aka. if you're adding lots of stuff like textures, meshes etc. I'd wish to hear the dialogues, as well as voice-act myself, but if it's all vanilla twisted in new formation, the audio-files for dialogue would just be a burden). Still, I presume the dialogues are a pain to write all-by-oneselves.

I'm hoping to get the nuts and bolts (scripting) going soon, thanks to the previous poster. I'm not really planning to have much dialogue in this mod. Voice acting is usually pretty weak, (unless you pay for pros) and having nothing but text isn't that great either. I'm planning the bare minimum. Oh, and how exact (all the dialogues as they should be, or just guidelines of what happens) writing do you prefer (and how many crossing possibilities, since the game is more interactive than many other forms of storytelling). I'm not really planning to have much dialogue in this mod. Voice acting is usually pretty weak, (unless you pay for pros) and having nothing but text isn't that great either. I'm planning the bare minimum. Yeah, well... That's kind of my point in a way, even tough my thoughts are more like "want something done proper; Do it yourself", that's why to offer for voice. However, if there is sound dialogue, I presume all the characters should be independent, so that there wouldn't be the beggar effect (other beggar voices are completely different compared to the "rumors" dialogue). However avoiding dialogue is still probably the best way to ensure failing voice-acting.
