Lycis
Hey there. So.. Had absolutely no problem modding Oblivion.. and If I had bought a hard copy of the game i'm sure I'd be saying that for fallout 3.. however I went and downloaded it off of steam. I've found the Fallout 3 folder under C:\Users\userid\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 First mod I've tried is the MTUI mod, I unzipped it, placed the folders into C:\Users\userid\Documents\My Games\Fallout3.Launched the game, No change in the dialog menu.I pulled all of the files from the folders and placed them "loosely" in the folder..Launched with "load loose files" no effect. Relaunched without 'Load Loose files" Still no effect. Is the patching process different for the steam version? Btw, running windows vista. oblivion hobbit
I'm not really too sure since I haven't tried modding the game myself, but I think the game files to be changed can be found here:C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 3In the steam version of the game.I hope this is right because I also have that version. Jared2500
I'm considering getting Fallout on steam. I'll definitely have to check into the moddability of the Steam version. Don't get Direct2Drive, their games usually aren't moddable.
Lycis
That did it. Had the wrong folder.. heh, Thanks for the help guys.Fallout on steam isn't bad, now that I can mod it. well, as modable as one can get without a CS ;) It loads a little slow, like most games off of steam, it has the 'Load loose files' issue also. But it doesn't use the 'Shift-Tab' chat option that most of the games on valve have.

It's like a legal no-cd crack lol.
