NPCs comment that my character looks sick / diseased

Multiple NPCs keep asking me character if she feel alright or make a comment that she looks sick.

I have visited more than one shrine, checked the Magic > Active Effects tab for anything negative and ran a batch file to remove all known diseases to no avail.

Hope this helps anyone, the culprit was the Yeolde respawn mod!

Might not actually have any disease/poison/etc effects, but NPC's can say if it your character hasn't slept in a while.

Ddrink a cure disease potion and see if it persists. After all the potion won't hurt you if you don't have no diseases.

If I remember correctly, I would get that after battling a vampire, as the disease progressed. Just a thought.

I think any of these https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Diseases_(Skyrim) will result in NPC comments, and I can confirm personally for Ataxia, Rockjoint, Bone break fever, Sanguinare Vampiris, and Witbane. No sure but poison *might also

 

to check your condition, TAB > Magic > the last entry on the right for Active Effects.

 

PS> And in addition to the Hevnoraak mask (edit: conveys 100% immunity to disease when worn), there are also amulets and rings that can help protect against contracting disease. As well, if you're not a diehard minimalist or consider it too much a "cheat", and you find the diseases annoying or too repetitive, afaik there's a mod that adds a "cure disease" spell. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3555
