Being a man of my logic, as most men are, I have come to the realization that it would not be out of hand to have fewer guardian PC's then Vampires.. Seeing as they are supposed to have few numbers anyway...

I also realize that the number of PC's playing a race is irrelevant to how many people there are of that race unless they comprise the race themselves and no NPC's are to exist within it... So, while it seems practical in thinking, it isn't nessecarily an evil to have equal numbers of PC's on either side..

More, the attempt would be to limit the number of heads we guardians actually have to be thinking about our combat strategies... Think about it.. If we become commanders of the army, as my char already is in part, then we will have to devise plans.. And if we have more people to come up with those plans.. It seems to disadvantage the Vamps...

Just a thought.

5 for each race is just a personal guideline for me so I don't start with to few players... plus I need at least a party of 5 to develop a decent storyline... and since there will be two I need at least 5 of each party...

I know the map has cities between the populations of 1000 to 10,000 but some cities will have much larger populations than that... but considering the scale of the map the population is very spread out.... anyway by few Gaurdians I mean few compared to the mortal population and the Vampire population...

your char sykohavok is fine... good to have a Vampire but it has reminded me of a few vampire features I would like to point out...

In my RPG Vampires will not be traditional... at all... let me describe them too you...

not repellants... garlic, the cristian cross (duh, this is like a different world), wodden stake through the heart has no signifigance....

repellents: the symbol of Mormuri... (will apear later in some concept art) sunlight,

features: Vampires do have distinct fangs... but all their teath are fairly sharp... designed perfectly to tear flesh.

Vampire towns: they are underground... Vampires do not have a strong social ladder... so that bit about your older friend standing up for you... ehhh... you should change that a little bit. Vampires were created by their god for war and therefore would not really need training per say, probobly just conditioning for weapons... armor.

Ahem..ah, what about when they add to their ranks with bites or.. eh.. the natural way. Those people were not created by the gods and therefore have no natural prowess like the rest of the vamps... They may require training, I think.. Meh, you're world, do as you please.

And if you need a party of 5, then a party of five you shall have. I'll just count as three roleplayers and we'll be set. :P JK..

Just a refresher.. while the guardians were created by Monmuri and Tarturas, they still cannot go out in sunlight correct?... How far does that go? Could they use SPF 9000 sunblock and walk out for a tan? Or would a hood and cloak be the extent of how bad it is... Give us details on exactly what those limitations are if you please.

EDIT: Everyone cheer! It's my hundreth post!!

okay... Gaurdian's can go out in the sunlight... but their powers such as their telepathy and their strength will fade and become useless. In my world all "magic" is drawn from The Source, which you may recall was created by Felfalas, an evil god or god of the night.

so Gaurdian's can go out into daylight but their powers are only active during the night... for they are drawn from an evil source, the same one as the Vampires.

a simple hooded cloak would do the trick to protect their physical bodies and strength though... and it is the reason that they ware the big thick black robes with hoods... for daytime travel.

My character is completely done guys... I will post him after the RPG thread goes up...

Just a teaser: the first post of the actual thread will probobly be longer than the intro thread and immediatly set up the basis for my plot twist.

Name: Jouralto

Sex: Male

Vampire

Favored Weapon: Scyther - A pair of shinning swords that combine to slice up the enemy in a flash of movement.

Special Attribute: Multi-Telepathy (Talks to many vampires telepathically)

Description: Jouralto has many different things about him that make him different. He has a love for short swords, but highly dislikes setting them down, except for perhaps a pen. For what reason is this? He is a master strategist. He has come up with highly surprising Strategies in his life, and does not plan to fall to the Guardians anytime soon. He will never get over his love for weaponry, and hopes to fight to the death. He will never give up on his dreams of "living" life to it's fullest. He has a certain tolerance for the sun, but it is a very low tolerance. If any were to see his clothes, they would be very surprised. He wears a dark purple jacket, and an orange shirt. He also has black pants, so he looks like a very odd vampire. There are a lot of things unknown about his past, however, and even less known about his family.

Profession: Master Strategist :stupid:

and the score is evened... 2 vampires and 2 Gaurdian's... I have a friend that is gonna sign up as a Vampire as soon as he gets rid of his little blaster worm problem. I think we will be able to start up soon if people continue to sign up at this rate!
