vonBennett Posted October 1, 2019 Share Posted October 1, 2019 So...I am doing a Vault 88 mod where I am building my version of the vault using the Creation Kit. I have the vault around 75% completed and I have removed the old NavMeshing on the cave floor and have re-NavMeshed the new vault. I have now introduced settlers and have run into a slight issue. The guards man their posts like they normally should. The settlers (along with my NPCs) move around the vault very efficiently, They go to their work stations at the start of the work day (stations are in different parts of the cave), and at the end of the work day, they either roam around the vault or go to the bar area (Bartender stays at her work station as she normally would) to recreate. The problem occurs when it is time to go to bed. Instead of moving to their assigned beds in their assigned living quarters, the settlers start to move in that direction but then they all immediately stop and just stand there. They stand around all night long and when dawn arrives, they begin to move around again and then they report to the work stations when the time to do so arrives. The cycle repeats when bed time arrives at the end of the new day. I checked and rechecked the NavMeshing in the Creation Kit and everything checks out. I don't think it is not a question of NavMeshing because when I arrive at the vault during sleep time, the settlers are in their beds and at dawn the get up and walk away to start their day. I did not mess when the script in the workbenches in any way. Even if I place their beds right next to where they are standing, the settlers do not attempt to go to sleep. vonBennett Posted October 2, 2019 Author Share Posted October 2, 2019 **Update** I am not sure why but things started working. The settlers move around like they are supposed to. I know when you make shops and link them in the Creation Kit, you must leave the cell area and return before you can assign that particular store to a settler. I am not sure but maybe something like that happened (which is the first time I noticed this)? I don't understand why all of the settlers froze at bed time since many had beds assigned prior. Maybe creating a bed in the Creation Kit and loading a saved game from that cell messes everyone up, until you leave and return? I will monitor the situation further. speedynl Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 never load a save in the current cell, if you make any int/ext use the vault exit save that don't contain info from the espif you wana do it complete right, start a new game without the esp, then after leaving vault(save) add the esp(load), use console (tmm 1) go to the place and check it out also that standing around happens in pure vanila to abernaty farm is a good sample of it, they gather near the food plants and just stay there Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
