highly-acclaimed mods

first of all, thanks for even doing all this stuff for us guys

myself not being any good with coding/drawing/anything all i can do is enjoy your works people, thank you

seeing propositions like "lets add lightsabers" and seeing Oblivion rapier mods floating around, I am really disappointed...

there were some nice-to-have mod lists around, the only thing worrying me are the mods people go for

i'm not obsessed with child abuse themes (which are going to be very popular i guess), so honestly i couldnt care less for this weirdo stuff

im just concerned about Bethesda being just another money-making bunch of noobs and having to release the F3 as we have it now, oblivion with guns and VATS for happy console joystick mashers, and some stuff is really really eagerly awaited for to get the original Fallout series game feel like what it had to be

what would be lovely to see around is

1. weapon models closer to F1&2

2. tweaking armor stats, especially giving Power Armor its rightful glory back

though i guess item tweaks could seriously take some time

3. having some normal keybindings implemented (map on "M", inventory on "I", character sheet on "C" etc more like in good old series)

it is ridiculous how the weapons/items are switched in the game, and stimpacks used, so some mod to normally switch your weapons and use stimpacks from main screen UI would be great

4. minimap on main game screen somewhere

5. overall enhanced textures

the list can go on and on

the only thing is i ask you - please keep your own personal agenda from the general mod line, i liked the true patch done by Tessera for Vampire: Bloodlines. F3 does need more content instead of patching though, but please keep it in line with the Fallout we would all love to play.

Thank you

While I agree with some of what you say, the Oblivion Rapier Mod was a test Mod for the purpose of porting an ESP to Fallout 3.

I in no way want a Lightsaber mod, but if someone does, let them. Fallout 3 was never meant to be the same as originals, and so we don't just want mods that will make it more like them. Anyone can mod what they want. If you don't like it, don't use it.

I agree however that we should change power armor stats to be far more protective. The first time I came across Brotherhood of Steel Outcasts I was able to take out three of them without much trouble, at about level 5.

hehe of course i am not telling "please dont make rapiers"

fallout games always were what they were - your small personal post-nuclear world, where you could do what you wanted as *you*, yourself, see fit.

by all means, anyone can run naked with two rapiers killing dozens of children there, if that what flows your boat =)

i would just love to see some more mods, bringing the game closer to the actual Fallout series (and i hope im not alone in this wish)

thank you =)
