There, be glad someone like me is bored enough to do stuff like this.

I had problems to do it by myself. you shouldn't talk to people like this. if it's standalone, how to make it? where should we get it? there's a diferent name, I suppose. does it have any conflict with the main wolf armor?

I've not read more then one tutorial, and that was how to get the CK.

I guess I'm hardened to difficult stuff, I've been modding games for years.

All I did was duplicate the armor, make new textures, redirect his textures to the new textures, and direct the duplicate armor to the new textures.

If you look in the item's mesh selection you will see a table for textures, in there are textures which you can duplicate and redirect to any ddl file with normals ddl so its not all shiney.

If you want to get the armor your going to have to console it, or build up a recipt that lets you remake them into the new item, recipts are attached to just about every item and are just items needed, skills required, item out.

I could make you one, but you really should familiarize yourself with the workings of the CK and do it yourself.

Though with the amount of people not knowing how to inately use the CK, I'm more likely to make a general CK tutorial then continue making things for people.

Isn't that the point?

you've been modding for years. theres a certain familiarity with the whole process that develops, even if you're exposed to an entirely new system. People that just started modding with Skyrim don't have that benefit - it's something that develops over years of seeing how different programs/programming languages handle issues and requests.

Modding items and textures with the CK is like training wheels stage modding. Its more that you have to think in terms of objects instead of results.

I'm not saying its easy because I'm super experienced or being condecending about it, if you actually think about what your modding objects instead of the end result it sort of entails what you have to do to get it done.

Items have to be broken down from the whole when you make things.

Object - the actual thing the programming looks at

Mesh - the shape and the texture attached to it, just another object linked to the first

Texture - the look that you see, attached to the mesh object

Effects - interactions with other objects, through more objects

If I say "This [object 1] is [object type] with [object texture] and is weilded by [object actor], does [object effect] and [object damage] on hitting [object actor].", you would be very confused, but the program would check to see what the objects are fill in the lines and give a result based on what you told it the objects are.

Since CK gives you nice fields to place all your objects its more thinking with objects then actually learning how to mod, which in classic sense is having to do the pointing and directing in between objects as well and making them.

Explaining that was helpful. :) I would suggest writing a guide or two if you're interested in them, that was a very concise & simple write up. But - and this is one of the simpler issues people run into I think - in some areas of the ck definitions like that are harder to find.

Or more accurately, for me it was definitions of which program does specifically what l want. Lol...

raborman, I just downloaded your file and it's same as mine. it's a retexture. anyway, thanks for the try. if you need anything, I have all the file ready at ck: place where we find, stats changed, name, temperable. my only problem is to refer the texture to the meshes (both things done already). if you want, I'll upload the file for you and you can work on it.

Its not, it is just the texture linked to a new item, making it a duplicate item with the new texture, I didnt make it have a new name or change the stats, if you look at the esp in CK you will see that when you search for duplicate you will get all 3 armor addon items and 3 of the 4 textures with the name of the textures basicly giving you the name of the last, you can rename restat and do whatever, because you didnt ask me to make you the armor, you just asked for someone to make it standalone from the original... so I did just that.

If you want to know how to do anything more then beg in the forums, you should start with the easy CK stuff of restat and rename.

I'm not going to hold your hand and give you a key to all your dreams, but I will help you find your way if I want to.

I could give you your armor restatted and renamed, link some recipts to it and tie it all in neat package that you can download, but it'd leave me having to sit here and listen to your pleading, and you'd be no closer to actually learning to mod for youself so I dont have to.

Give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish, he'll no longer bother you about fish.

you still don't understand, do you? or you're doing this to show yourself. I'm no begging anything to anyone. as I told you, I have the CK part ready, just couldn't refer the textures to the meshes. I asked help for that and tried everything ppl said here, but I couldn't. so, I'm still searching for someone to do it. if you don't want to, if you want to make some jokes and pretend to be the funny guy, just get out, do us a favor. be on your way and leave this to someone who really could help instead of this blablabla. thanks anyway, you tried, just couldn't make it. your file is still a retexture, same as mine, because I downloaded it and tried.
