When I would log back in after renaming my settlers many of their names reverted back to 'Settler'. I might give it another try because a lot of time has passed and my mod list has changed a bit. As for the 'Immersive Settlers' mod, I have a list of names that I prefer to use, many of which are not on their list. Thanks for your input, my friend!
