magictroy8
Recently, I've been trying to make a mod. Just a simple NPC who walks up, says some stuff to you, and then attacks. It's how to do this however when the GECK decides to crash when trying to render anything, such as a body of the NPC, the face of the NPC, or any Cell in the game. I've gone online and tried an amalgamation of all of the suggestions made, which has given me no success. (Added NVAC, 4GB patch, PowerUp, changed some stuff in GECKCustoms.ini) I'm doing this on my laptop which can absolutely support most modern games, so it should support the GECK. The game data on my laptop has remained unmodded excluding the mods I mentioned earlier in this. Any help is appreciated.
dubiousintent
Anytime the game or GECK "Crashes to the Desktop" (CTD) it's typically going to generate an error message in the Windows Eventlog. Please see the "Windows Error Messages" section of the wiki "How to read most Bethesda game error logs" article. Please see the 'GECK: Common Problems' section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. In particular, "PowerUP" has been superseded by the "GECK Extender" plugin, which gives more detailed error messages as well as fixing some engine level issues. -Dubious-
