goranpaa
Down the years, I have played my character in many ways: As an Alchemist, Assassin, Warrior a Magician, Hunter, Vampire, Paladin and some more. And when I made my new charrater a week ago, I had some problems to select his way of living. But then I struck me that why not try to be a Bard + Merchant? This way, I could combine my trades when visiting inns around Skyrim and Solstheim. So I downloaded the Become a Bard mod, and the Trade and Barter mod, and started to play. And I must say it's a quite fun way of playing. Especially as I can still dungeon crawl some to get valuable stuff to sell later on. And I also dabble a little bit in collecting alchemy ingredience. So If you have runned out of ides for your new character? Then this could be worth trying.
anjenthedog
How do you play as a merchant? I have a hard time dumping all the loot I get from dungeons, let alone anyone other than Ysolda and a few other NPCs asking me to provide them with some trinket here and there. goranpaa
In the dungeons i only pick a few things and not always the most valuable ones. Then you can adjust buy and sell prices in the Trade and Barter mod inside the SKYUI menue to your liking. When you buy something, make a note on what you payed. It will be easier to see if you will get a good profit when you sell it later. Edited October 3, 2019 by goranpaa

Moksha8088
The mod Revolutionaries and Outlaws lets you be a drug dealer peddling Aurora, a non-addictive drug created by a ten year old NPC named Jesse. You can sell it to most characters in the game. Sometimes you can feel generous and offer it to them for free if they help tell their friends about your product, or sometimes if they agree to walk around the town naked to help distract the guards. Much gentler than stealing or killing.
Surfrider4u
You can always get the mod "Merchant's in Inns".

goranpaa
That actually sounds like a lot of funYes, I can definite recommend this. Beeing a Bard / Merchant + do a little bit of dungeon crawling now and then as said too, makes playing the game much more interesting and fun. You can also do the trade as an Alchemist for a side kick. This, as you can always sell what you make or pick ingrediences in order to sell later on.
