Fallout: Storm Over The Mojave

Ronin finished his work and slid the machete into its sheath on his back. He picked up his bow and smiled. "Leela." He said as he drew back the string. His mind drifted to a young hunter, one of the few female hunters in his tribe. She preferred the bow over firearms and was a master with it.

He decided to call his bow Leela in her memory, the wind began to swirl around him and he could feel its call. It was time to leave. He packed his goods and started walking, Sam at his side and the wind at his back. His desire to hunt legionaries calling him.

Greebo smiled hugely, and took off his own sunglasses, revealing his pale ghoul eyes. His eyesight was still sharp, even though his eyes looked milky and pale, as evidenced by his shooting skills.

"That's a good boy, everything in moderation, hey what? I say, it would be splendid if we could travel together for a bit. I need to drop off the.. catch to the regulators anyway to receive my pay, and I would enjoy the chance to work with you some more, even if you are a bit of a grouch, hmm?" Greebo laughed at that, and led the way inside the check-in area of the hotel, where he pulled out a pair of glasses and a very rare bottle of strawberry cordial that he had found in an old vault kept preserved. There were still a few bottles left in the vault, and he traveled there very rarely, so as to keep his hidden gem of a vault secured. It was filled with ghouls and super mutants anyway, so most stayed away, the ghouls and mutants leaving him be when he visited, seeing as he was so cheerful and nice to them. He poured a generous serving into the glasses, and pushed one towards Jason.

"Drink up, old boy. You won't get a chance to drink this stuff again anytime soon, eh what?"

Greebo's proposition to travel together caught Jason off guard, but after some thinking it over he made his decision.

"Sure." Guardian had since returned loyally to his side. "I need to have a word with some of them, anyway. I gurantee one or two stayed behind and did nothing."

The strawberry cordial that suddenly seemed to appear in Greebo's hand surprised Jason, that was a rare alcohol indeed. He gratefully took a glass, nodded his thanks, and gulped down a bit of it.

"Might as well say a few things while we're here. You already know I don't have the best disposition towards people, and I'm not much for talking. I also don't have anywhere I have to be, so you decide where we go. I've always got a bit of extra space in my pack I can fill with supplies, should it be required. Combat-wise, I'm self-sufficient, and versatile. I'm not a slave, though I'm sure I don't need to tell you that. Any questions?" This was the most he'd said to anybody in months, anyone who could hear them was probably now suffering from a heart attack.

Cecilia sensually walked into the brothel, making note of the goings on- so far so good, no girls getting hurt, no forceful patrons, and all activity in the private rooms was staying peaceful. Cecilia plopped down onto the red chaise at the back of the room, next to one of her girls who seemed to be tending to a bleeding lip.

"What happened to you doll? How did you bust your lip?" The Burlesque dancer enquired, batting her eyelashes.

"It was... well it was a patron, i wouldn't do what he wanted; He didn't have any cash on him, he kept banging on about how he'd pay me later when he had it, but i refused, So he just dragged me off into one of the rooms, i tried to get him off me, but he hit me square in the face. I managed to knee him where the sun don't shine, and i ran out here not too long ago." The prostitute replied in a pained tone.

Cecilia's face was grim "Why didn't you call out? I could'a saved you the blow."

"I didn't want to call unneeded attention, i mean i dealt with it didn't i?"

"That isn't the point dear, he could have hurt you real bad! Is he still in-" Cecilia's words were cut short when the man came stumbling out of one of the rooms, intoxicated and very angry.

"Hey! You little tramp! your gonna pay for that! And i'm gonna get what i want!" He slurred, coming straight for the girl.

Cecilia rose from her seat and put herself between the man, and with a swift knee to the privates, he bent over in pain. "Now you listen hear you dog: My girls aren't gonna be pushed round by you, you ain't even paying... So either you take your sorry ass out of my casino, and never come back, or i take the life from your body. What's it gonna be?!" Cecilia threatened, her pistol brandished in her hand.

"Oh piss off! No one tells me whata do!" He replied, trying to lunge for Kihlkov. She pulled the trigger, and the shot echoed through the room, muffled through the rest of the casino, but still audible. The man's body dropped to the floor, a bullet in his head. "Get the boys to drag him outside: Chuck him in the trash." She announced, concealing her gun once again. she left the room, and made her way out of the brothel.

She spotted at the bar a very weathered, but young looking man in a very well dusted outfit- strange, most patrons rich enough to get in the Sodom were at least dressed for the occasion. He was too unique for Kihlkov to ignore, and she imagined poetically how them speaking would be a mix of appearances, his weathered, desert-touched skin, and her perfect, sun deprived flesh. She walked back to the bar, her hips swaying as she walked, and she made her way behind it. She leant on her elbows and looked at the man "Why hello there handsome.... what brings you to my little casino?"

Renato, who hadn't even ordered a drink yet, followed the drunk guy into the back room. He had come into the bar a few minutes ago furious and evidently pained by a shot to the soft spot. Renato wasn't necessarily allowed to go into the back room, but this man was going to cause trouble, and even just a second was enough for him to kill somebody if he had a knife or a gun. He heard shouting and a gunshot just as he opened the door. Fearing the worst, he adopted a fighting stance as he walked in.

It wasn't what he expected. He knew that nobody that worked for the casino would be defenseless, but he wasn't expecting the drunkard to be dead that quickly. He saw that dancer from the stage holding a smoking barrel, and then relaxed his stance.

"Apologies, Ma'am. I knew he was gonna cause trouble, decided to do something about it. I'll just be leaving now..." He used the extent of what manners he knew and left the room hastily.

When his drink arrived Renato was approached by the same woman who killed the drunkard. He smiled at her when she greeted him, trying to be as polite as he could. He maintained eye contact (although of course, being a young man, he struggled.) and spoke.

"I've heard nothing but good things about this place. So new and already competing with Gomorrah? That's impressive. I decided to check it out for myself. So far it's delivered for sure, though I unfortunately haven't been here too long." He found the woman very attractive, and was impressed with himself for attracting her attention, even if it was probably because he barged into the back room. Still, could do worse.

Kihlkov smiled appreciatively at the young man and commented "It is a good place isn't it? I got to see it built from the very foundations, so you could say it's my child of sorts, a lot of my money's gone into it." She said, before turning to the bar and getting herself a Martini. "Well,if you haven't been here long, why not stay the night? i find it's one of the best ways to know a place... and a person." She said the last part with a soft chuckle. "So, what brings you to the Sodom? aside from what you've heard, your different from the usual folk we get in here, that's for damn sure."

"I'm not from the NCR, most of these folks are. I'm a local, born and raised here in the Mojave. Never left it. As for why I'm here, I've been saving up for a while so I could take a vacation of sorts on the strip for a bit. Been here once or twice before, while before this casino opened up. Last time I was here they were just laying down the foundation. The fact it's so popular so quickly is definitely something to be proud of." Renato replied. Edited by Flipout6

Kihlkov listened to the young man's little tale, he certainly interested her, and that is what draws her to her friends and her lovers; There is always something about them, be it an unusual voice, a strange demeanour, or some kind of amazing magnetism, she was certainly not short of different people in her life. "Just a boy on his holiday hmm? Well i can't blame you, the strip is one of few places you can find luxury... And you are right, this place is something i can be proud of, although it wouldn't be here if Mr. Dazzle hadn't thought it up. His brainchild... my financial one." Kihlkov commented, almost more to herself than the man. "I'm Lady Kihlkov, Madame of our little brothel back there, and the only Burlesque dancer on the planet far as i know, pleasure to meet you...?" She said with a pause, hoping he would introduce himself.

"My name's Renato. Pleasure to meet you, Lady Kihlkov." Renato smiled and held out his hand for a handshake. He wasn't experienced with etiquette, and wasn't absolutely sure that a handshake was the way to go. (If he walked into the Ultra-Luxe the White Glove Society would probably throw him out simply for being a wastelander.) But at least it got the message across.

Kihlkov shook Renato's hand, noting his firm grip, most probably due to his well built frame."A pleasure darling. Now come on, well go and grab a booth, it's simply going to wreck my elbows leaning on here all day." She said with a wink, circling around the bar, and out into the casino, setting herself down at an empty booth, and gesturing Renato over. His lack of etiquette amused her, well, it wasn't that he didn't have it, it was just that normally someone would take her hand for a kiss, not a firm shake. She also hadn't forgotten about Daniel, but she could keep him waiting.
