GirlGamer55
So I have a model that works in Oblivion but not Skyrim. How exactly would I go about getting it into Skyrim's nif format using Blender? I'm really new at Blender so if someone could link me an easy tutorial or something that would be great. Just to be clear this is a model I own...not another modders model or Bethesda's. Don't want to get in trouble lol. SkjoldBjorn
Well, use niftools for that. Unless the model uses bones (like armors etc) Just using niftools should suffice if you are converting weapon meshes or statics. There are a tutorial on how to make models work with skyrim on this very forum if you check out the stickied posts ;) You will learn how to add textures and everything there. GirlGamer55
All right but I ran into a problem before I could even start. Using this tutorial: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/469935-modding-skyrim-with-tessnip-and-nifskope/ It says: requirements: throttlekitties modified nif.xml, get it here: http://dl.dropbox.co...ifTools/nif.xml and put it into your nifskope installation directory Yeah well I have no idea how to get that xml into the directory. I mean it's not a download...it just takes me to a page...and what do I do with the page?
SkjoldBjorn
Don't worry about that, the new nifskope versions supports skyrim and do not require any extra xml file for this :)
