Farlington
save space? there is no reason to; there are more than enough build squares to accomplish anything you wish. I built 3 extra workshops, 5 power plants, 5 sat uplinks and still had 4 squares leftover at the end of the game. I was thinking more about saving money. Trying to build enough satellites means having to build workshops to get engineers. Having less to build with the same amount of end resources can be be a win/loose situation in games, especially my last one where I wasn't able to go for missions to get engineers because panic levels were too high in the other regions. Having that extra couple of engineers because your workshops are in a square really matters when otherwise you'd find yourself 1 person short. Ichthyic
yup, the 2x2 with 2 regular and 2 advanced sat installations is indeed the best way to save money. I built mine in an "L" shape, and had to build 3 regular and 2 advanced to accomplish the same task.
Rhodryn
*nods* That is also true. It's all a matter of weighing the pro's and con's of each situation. Sometimes it's better to go for 4+ uplinks with a nexus... other times it might be better to go with 2 uplinks and 2 nexus'.
