SimiAyla
Heyo, i have recently invested in downloading mods and i have had a 50 - 50 chance of having them work. Mods that download as ZIP FOLDERS work like a charm, they work without much fussHowever if it is not downloading as a zip file then nothing works, i have tried many things to remedy this but nothing seems to be workingIf there is something specific i need to be doing please let me know. I have also noticed that recently whenever i have downloaded a mod and it wasn't a zip folder they have been saving as notepad files and i have no idea why!!!! theskymoves
Oh boy... there are too many variables to offer any quick advice on your issue. First we need to know what method are you using to download mods. Manual download, Vortex, Nexus Mod Manager....? (If it's anything other than to first option, I'm not going to be any help, since I don't use either of the other two.) And if it is via manual download, what browser are you using? (Some browsers have been known to mangle DAzip downloads, though that usually takes the form of changing the archive extension from '.DAzip' to just '.zip'.) More generally, do you have installed a program that can handle non-ZIP compressed archives? If not, I recommend 7-zip, as that can open both 7z and RAR archives, the other two most common methods of archiving mod packages. ETA that some examples of mods that are downloading incorrectly might be of use... at least we'd be able to see what SHOULD be downloading as compared to what is.
