Rattledagger
Vortex uses %appdata%\vortex for storing information of mods, rules, profiles etc. In addition Vortex stores downloaded mod-archives under the "Download Folder" as mentioned under Vortex - Settings - Download For each game you manage Vortex also stores installed mod-files under the "Mod Staging Folder" as mentioned under Vortex - Settings - Mods for the specific game you're currently managing. Lastly for SSE, Fallout4 etc., you can have hard-linked files "Deployed" to the games directory, using "Purge" on Vortex mods-tab should remove these files again.
