about a few weeks i have a brand new comp to play more heavy games

on my old comp i had fallout 4 and skyrim se

so i instal everything fresh first windows 10 64 bit and so on

all updates and drivers

then steam with both games all done

here is the fun part then i instal vortex and to my big suprice

my mods are stile there how is that poseble with a new hardrive

so its a pain in the butt to get rid of them and start fresh

so far i test things the last few days if i remove a mod completly its stile in my folder somewhere

and i need to look there to remove it there to

i was hoping when i remove a mod its completly gone but sadly no :(

i see this ad the vortex dashboard i no i have so 150 mods but my info on dashboard say 197 -.-

so there stile there

Vortex uses %appdata%\vortex for storing information of mods, rules, profiles etc.

In addition Vortex stores downloaded mod-archives under the "Download Folder" as mentioned under Vortex - Settings - Download

For each game you manage Vortex also stores installed mod-files under the "Mod Staging Folder" as mentioned under Vortex - Settings - Mods for the specific game you're currently managing.

Lastly for SSE, Fallout4 etc., you can have hard-linked files "Deployed" to the games directory, using "Purge" on Vortex mods-tab should remove these files again.
